Career Synthesis & Impact Narrative
My name is Guyen, and data has taken me far - Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and back to home country. I spent years working as a data engineer, data architect, and eventually team lead.
I designed enterprise architectures, built governance frameworks, and managed data at a scale that most organizations in Mongolia hadn't yet encountered. That experience became the foundation for everything I am doing now.
I returned to Mongolia at a point when organizations were already accelerating their digital ambitions but still lacked the fundamentals to manage data properly. In response, I founded Data Ger to bring international data management practices to Mongolian organizations: clean architecture, working governance, and pipelines that produce trusted data.
Alongside that, I established the DAMA Mongolia, the local affiliate of the International Data Management Association, to build what the local industry was missing: a professional community network, internationally recognized certifications, and meaningful knowledge exchange. Mongolia’s data maturity is still early.
But that’s precisely where the opportunity lies - to shape the foundations that will define the next decade.
