Buyanjargal Munkh-Ochir, DDS, MPH, a dentist, public health professional, and health systems leader specializing in prevention, early detection, and equitable healthcare delivery. I am currently based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where I work across academia, clinical practice, and nonprofit leadership—training future dental professionals, providing patient care, and leading initiatives that support community health and social programs for vulnerable populations.

In my role as a fundraising manager, I mobilize resources and partnerships to improve the health, nutrition, and overall wellbeing of children in need, supporting programs that enable them to thrive, learn, and access quality education. I earned my Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois Chicago as a Fulbright scholar, with a focus on community health sciences and global health.

My training integrates clinical dentistry with public health research, data analysis, and health systems strengthening. Previously, I worked at Jefferson County Public Health in Oregon, USA, in public health research and data analysis, contributing to community health assessments, prevention programs, and policy-informed initiatives.

In Mongolia, I have coordinated multidisciplinary efforts on healthcare law reform and supported early disease detection programs, collaborating with stakeholders across government, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors. My professional interests include preventive health, health equity, community-based program development, and strengthening healthcare systems through data-driven and policy-informed approaches.

I am particularly passionate about integrating clinical care with public health and policy to improve access and long-term health outcomes. Looking ahead, I aspire to lead transformational efforts that bridge clinical practice, public health, and policy to build more equitable and resilient healthcare systems in Mongolia and globally.
